Hi

What do you want to do with this reader? It,s not so easy using the
smartcard reader in the Session. The –r scard command gives you the reader
espacialy for the login process on your win7.

For banking or something else in the remote session you need special drivers
for your reader installed on the w7. Best you asked Zetes if there are such
drivers. I think it should be something like terminalserver or citrix
driver. Mostly the problem is not otc but the remotedesktopserver

I had the same problem. I had to change my cardreaders. Now I use reinerSCT
pinpad readers.

Mit freundlichem Gruß

Betreff: [openthinclient-user] How to use the ACR38 Smartcard reader

A few days ago I askek how to make runninge the pcscd daemon and Alexander
Stecher respond to me. I just need to define a smartcard device for my
thinclient.

Many thanks.

Now, I would like to use my smartcard reader, of the Zetes society, the
ACR38 on a USB port.

I put on the rdsktop connection in the application in the parameters field
-r scard

I can see, the thinclient try to passe the device but my remote W7 doesn't
see it ????

Has anybody an idea ? Need I to put some specials drivers for that reader ?
And if yes, how ?

Thank's in advance beacause without the possibilité of using this smartcard
reader in my thinclient I can not use Openthinclient which would be an
incredible simple tool to manage the connection of my users to their W7
virtual machine.
