I have successfully installed, booted and tested OTC (Windows) in my office
environment without major problems and it works beautifully.
The problems I am having are when I installed it in the production environment.
I can't seem to get one client past the "Mounting root file system " promp

problems even a test client I have set up in Vmware.

I am trying to use openthinclient but I can't get the client to boot beyond the

I tried updating the base files but no difference?

I have duplicated this problem on one OTC installation.
Clients will not boot if the Internet connection is not up. They hang
at the second mention of 'loading base...'.
A quick check of the logs does not illuminate the problem.
What might cause this problem?

I am probably completely off-base, but maybe it's a DNS issue?
Perhaps you might check the use of IP addresses vs names that require a
nameserver to resolve?
