Certainly setting a higher interval will result in the system being slower
to show a device as online, but the device recovery detection mechanism
should help here.
This mechanism sends a ping if the system notices activity from a device
which it thinks as unreachable.

increase the *PING check default* value from *5 mins* to 15 or 30 mins. The
*device
health status* also will take that much time to display this status in the
dashboard is it ? correct me, If I my
