Hi Damiano.
Even if you don't want avahi to support or need D-BUS, you still need the dbus
package to be present in the build environment so that avahi's compilation
dependencies can be satisfied. However, as I think you've discovered, libdbus
won't be included in the runtime package.

I'm running OpenWrt in a quite tight environment (WR703N) and I need to run
avahi-daemon on my router.
It installs just fine, however it pulls a dependency I don't need: D-Bus,
or more specifically libdbus.
