Attendees: sunku ranganath<https://wiki.opnfv.org/display/~sunkuranganath>,
John Browne, Mike Bustamente, Kumar Mayank, Mark Shostak, Toshiaki
Takahashi<https://wiki.opnfv.org/display/~takahashi-tsc>, Yuki
Kasuya<https://wiki.opnfv.org/display/~YukiKasuya>
Agenda:

  *   OpenStack Demo update
  * Introductions to first time joiners
Minutes:

  * Welcome Mike Bustamente, part of CNTT
     * interested in test harnesses and certification schemes.
  * Mark is also part of CNTT
     * Interested to learn about ability to monitor L1 cache thrashing and
its impact in closed loop scenario
     * VNF supplier might have tight loop, not all VNF might be all
micro-architectures having performance implications and affect unrelated VNFs.
Looking to use CLA for monitoring this situation. Operators could flag this and
bring this to its supplier.
  * JohnB and Sunku presented various closed loops
     * discussed on impact of these on VNF testing and certification
     * There is a need to identify and build the right closed loop use cases
in the certification
  * What is the best stimulus for VNF under test to get sense of what the
metrics looks like in operation
     * Discussed on required interfaces across platform software running on
the node and VIM layer
  * Current nature of software available for local closed loop
     *   Test VNF under test
     * Testing against NFVi for end to end solution
     * We might need to identify these constructs at design time of VNF or at
test time of VNF. If we identify this at deploy time of VNF, this is a bit late
     * A POC would be helpful, to help understand current situation
     * Sunku, JohnB and Mark to follow up on coming up with a demo using CPU
cache subsystem to help VNFs at design time on nature of corrective action that
could be taken based on the various cache metrics available.
  * Sunku provided OpenStack self-healing/Resiliency Demo update
     * Need info on type of memory faults, duplicated memory, etc.
     * This will be discussed in next CLA WG call
Next Meeting Agenda:

  * Provide update on OpenStack Resiliency/Self-healing demo updates

Thanks,
Sunku Ranganath
