polipo - choosing an exit

Hi, I'm using polipo. When I choose an exit node by sticking node.exit on the end of a url, I think that is actually passed on with the Host header. How do I get polipo to strip that off? For example, http://www.showmyip.com.tortila.exit/; doesn't work as it has no vhost set up for
