With the release of torbutton 1.2.3, we can now support Firefox 3.5.x in the tor browser bundle zero-install packages.
I've built test bundles and put them here, http://freehaven.net/~phobos/tor-browser-1.3.0-dev_en-US.exe and http://freehaven.net/~phobos/tor-browser-1.3.0-dev_en-US.exe.asc for the signature. I'd appreciate constructive criticism or bugs. I've tested it for a day to catch leaks, changes to the firefox config (like private browsing mode) and make sure integration with the bundle worked well. The bundle still includes polipo as the workaround to Firefox SOCKS layer issues. As soon as Mozilla commits our patch and includes it in a release, we'll stop including an http proxy.
