Role: *UNIX / Linux systems admin with **NYFIX* Location: NY Duration: Long term Rate: *$350/ Day (No Negotiation)* Required Skills: - 4 – 7 Years experience managing UNIX / Linux Server environments, (Red Hat Enterprise Linux experience required, experience with Linux on VMware is preferred) - 4 – 7 Years of UNIX / Linux Server management. Including OS Installation and configuration - 4-7 Years experience with *NYFIX’s Appia Disaster Recovery (HA) platform FIX engine and Tradescope FIX Management and Monitoring Tool* in a multi-site environment via primary and host stand-by servers using manual and automatic fail-over options. - Familiarity with FIX message types, components, session layers and business flows. - Knowledge of and experience with a FIX engine’s interaction with a MQ Series backend. - Ability to train users in applications and UNIX / Linux fundamentals and writing basic documentation - Ability to troubleshoot common system problems, using all available resources, (vendor support, online documentation), to completion - Possess a working knowledge and skill with most aspects of UNIX / Linux systems administration; for example, system installation and configuration, fundamentals of security, installing third party software - Possess a solid knowledge of a UNIX / Linux-based operating system; for example, understands paging and swapping, inter-process communication, devices and what device drivers do, file system concepts (“inode”, “superblock”, etc.) - Familiarity with fundamental networking/distributed computing environment concepts; for example, can configure NFS, DNS and understands basic routing concepts. - Ability to write scripts in some administrative language such as Korn/Bourne/C Shell, Perl, Tk. - Ability to install, configure and manage storage with a Logical Volume Manager (e.g. Linux LVM, Veritas Foundation Suite, Sun Volume Manager,etc.) *Pls don't share profiles **without NYFIX/ FIX** exp..* Regards Shiv Javaji System Solutions Inc. 703 463 9476 v...@javaji.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "oraapps" group.
