We are looking for *BW Release Manager *for one of our client at *Northern, NJ*. Please let me know your interest. *BW Release Manager Location: Northern NJ Duration: Long Term (12+ months) * *F2F required after telephonic* *BW Release:* · This BW Consultant will play a crucial role among a team of more than 30 engineers that develop and maintain a global reporting BW 7.4 solution. · He/She will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and consistency of this application, which is already deployed to many thousands of users in Europe, Americas and Asia, with a roll-out to continue the next year. · His/her specific mission is, under the direction of the Development Manager: · make sure that the software is consistent across the multiple environments (6 of them, in constant evolution ): orchestrate releases and transports, work with the team and the regions to ensure good integration of the components (delivered as BW transports). · Be the contact person between Basis and BW team, assist regions with resolving landscapes and transports issues. · Make sure that the Global development environments are in good order (eg, data loads). · investigate technical issues with BW (performances, security: analyze issues, notes) · This consultant will also contribute with its specific technical skills, to the development of the solution and incidents diagnostics & fixes. We expect the candidate to have strong skills in one or more of those areas: ABAP, security, BW performances. *Typical tasks:* · Overseeing the transports flow, assisting regions in resolving locks, conflicts etc.... · Planning and orchestration of the upgrades, version releases, with the Basis team · Keeping the Global development environments in good order, commissioning new environments · Advising and support the team for BW technology: ABAP, security, optimization (as per his/her specific skills) · Participating with the other team members in the execution of projects, incidents resolution. *Qualifications:* · Seven plus (7+) years IT experience designing and supporting enterprise systems with an emphasis on globally available applications with minimum five (5+) years of experience in SAP BW. · Strong knowledge of multi system landscape architecture, complex SAP BW/BI enterprise solutions for global organizations. · Worked with global templates, and therefore familiar with software distributions / version management strategies. · Expert with the operational management of BW systems: transports, upgrades, optimization. · Has experience of supporting large software solutions. · Can clearly communicate on complex topics, verbally and in writing.
