Work with customers and vendors to understand application purpose and setup to help assess optimal options for Oracle installations, upgrades and/or moves. Assist DBA team in managing Oracle project portfolio and helping decide project resourcing needs. Lead technical problem resolution for level 3 Oracle database and related issues. Have a high desire to keep current on Oracle and data center technology directions and capabilities to help continuously improve the Oracle platform. Ability to collaborate, build and maintain relationships with multiple technical groups. Promote established database and application administration processes while keeping relevant documentation up to date. Involved with planning and implementing Oracle environment improvements. Participate in Oracle capacity planning. Ability to manage multiple project assignments at a time.Job RequirementsAs an Oracle DBA you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrates a strong understanding of all aspects of Oracle 11g and higher, including RAC, ASM, database architecture, administration, patching, backups and restores and configuration. Experience in technical application architecture, sizing, installation, patching, upgrading, migration, tuning and maintenance. Preferred Exadata experience but at least familiar with Exadata concepts. Ability to comfortably read and modify SQL and database constructs which include database triggers, packages, procedures, and functions. Familiar with programming concepts and methods. Ability to work independently, set priorities, work under pressure, adapt to demanding situations and maintain schedules. Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs. Provide platform technical specifications for enterprise application deployments, ensuring the optimal utilization of company investments. Ability to solve problems, quickly and completely and to communicate them clearly to peers, customers and management. Strong customer focus with the ability to meet or exceed customer service levels. Ability to weigh various suggested technical solutions against business needs and choose the most effective solution, given technical merits, cost considerations, and manageability.
