ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Perform data collection, in-depth workflow analysis, report technical
issues relating to the software to help understand function of the
application.
Gathers input from multiple organizational levels during analysis, design,
implementation and training.
Recognize the potential of the application to change and improve clinical
workflows, as well as, maintaining and/or improving current practice
standards.
Understand and define organizational needs for IS development & design.
Develop IS solutions.
Initiate and use the PDSA process to optimize use of application.
Be a leader, facilitating the implementation of new uses of the EPIC
application.
Collaborate with a variety of  departmental leaders, end users including
physicians, IS staff and vendor implementation staff in design and
implementation.
Develop small project objectives and schedule.
Direct small project activity, monitor schedule, verify project against
schedule, make adjustments and recommend any changes to manager/leader.
Assist in the development of test plans and documenting test results for
changes.
Complete work in timely manner
Participate in the development of measurement, monitoring, and evaluation
of overall system performance, clinical utilization and achievement of
clinical outcomes  linked to IS processes.
Gather data for build, reference master build, data conversion mapping and
system testing during implementation phases.
Assist with the integration of standardized clinical nomenclatures.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management
Information Systems or related field OR graduation from an accredited
program in a health care field OR a minimum 6 years’ experience in an IT
and/or Business Analyst role may substitute for the bachelor degree
requirement.
2 + years in clinical and/or revenue cycle information systems (e.g.
clinical analyst, system design and development, trainer) or related work
experience.
Knowledge of design specifications and system maintenance for clinical
and/or revenue cycle or EPIC applications.
Knowledge of adult learning and education principles and methods.
Knowledge of current clinical practices in different health care
disciplines.
Knowledge of regulatory standards, e.g. HIPAA, JCAHO, and implications for
clinical and/or revenue cycle information systems.
Knowledge of customer service principles.
Skill in performance improvement processes and methods.
Skill in effective oral and written communication with both technical and
non-technical topics
Ability to investigate, analyze, problem-solve and make independent
decisions on moderately complex problems.
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks and prioritize appropriately
and independently.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships and collaborate with
all levels of staff including physicians.
Ability to plan, organize, direct, lead and influence groups.
Ability to be flexible and tolerant of ambiguous situations.
Ability to develop and provide training to various groups of clinical staff
and physicians.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Ambulatory Epic application certification strongly preferred.
Prefer previous experience in EPIC applications including system build
Prefer previous experience as a project manager or leader
Prefer experience in delivering clinical and/or revenue cycle health care
Prefer formal training in EPIC applications
