*Duration: 1-2 Years*



PRIMARY DUTIES

• Analyze EDI message translation, programming needs, and EDI document
routing for new and existing trading partners, and in-house end users

• Write and maintain computer programs to convert incoming EDI data and
outgoing flat file data to required data specifications

• Write and maintain XML, VBScript, and/or other programs to support EDI
processing functions

• Set up new, and maintain existing EDI trading partner specifications in
all parts of the EDI system, i.e. Infor SX.Enterprise and WebLogs, GXS
Trade Guide, and Sonic MQ.

• Analyze and correct the cause of rejected EDI messages

• Work with existing EDI trading partners to resolve EDI data translation
issues

• Communicate with potential EDI trading partners to set up new EDI
messaging capabilities

• Monitor and troubleshoot EDI system software operations

• Work with supervisor to devise process and data flow strategies to meet
the needs of EDI Trading Partners and internal users as needed

• Support internal EDI users

• Write and maintain EDI programming and end user documentation

• Prepare and deliver weekly EDI reports





REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• 2-3 years computer programming experience.  Languages such as C#, VB, and
JavaScript preferred

• Data mapping, translation and conversion

• EDI transaction processing and specifications

• Experience with fixed-and-variable-length flat files, XML

• End User and Technical writing



PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• C#, VBScript, JavaScript programming languages

• Value Added Network services (VAN) and direct ftp

• Computer job scheduling

• General business administration with accounting
