*Role: IT Analyst Duration: 2+ months Location: Chicago, IL Must be Local Only* *Required:* Consultant will provide installation, configuration and troubleshooting of TSM and CommVault backup solutions within a large-scale enterprise infrastructure. Planning, Design, Implementation, Administration of TSM Infrastructure (Winodows and Linux) TSM Client Migration from TSM 5.5 version to TSM 6.2 Capacity Planning based on customer requirements Implementing Oracle backups using RMAN Strong Documentation skills. Proactively look to improve and add efficiency to current process and exercise judgment in the decision-making process in order to provide consistent customer service Consultant must have extensive IBM enterprise storage experience Candidate should have 8+ years of experience with Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM), including experience with TSM 6.2 or greater Proficient in Unix administration, Linux, and Windows Thorough understanding of storage management concepts (NFS, CIFS, zoning, LUN masking, RAID, volume groups, logical volumes, and file systems) Ability to convert business requirements into a data protection solutions using TSM and other IBM products Proficient in performing a TSM assessment and providing performance tuning and best practices guidance Exposure to competitive backup products (ie, CommVault) and experience performing DR tests Experience sizing and deploying TSM for Virtual Environments (TSM VE) Experience deploying Tivoli Data Protection (TDP) for Mail and Databases Familiarity with database technologies and database backup methodologies (Oracle and SQL preferred) Solid understanding of VMware and its implementation in an enterprise environment, data storage and backup Proficiency in all available TSM Admin and Client interfaces, CLI, GUI, Webclient, and familiarity with available features Proficient on TSM reporting including the use of SQL commands Proficient in TSM and OS level Scripting Able to manage backup data movement between the TSM servers, import/export, virtual volume, and node replication A solid knowledge of Data Centers, data types and data applications, and various storage hardware technologies Experience with the backup NetApp filers, Oracle RAC, and Exadata Experience with deduplication strategies and products, NetApp NAS (NFS / CIFS), EMC Data Domain VTL backup technologies, working knowledge of TCP/IP networks and a solid understanding of SAN technology and design. *Regards, Edward Lee-IT Recruiter 609-223-9188 IT Brainiac Inc.
