Title: SAS Analyst
Duration: 4 months (Plus)
Location: Mc lean, VA
Statement: Responsible for the collection and provision of timely, accurate
and reliable data management and the running and enhancement of reporting
systems which facilitate the production of this data. Will typically
encompass editing and variance analysis along with the relevant commentary
on variances. Incumbents will be responsible for regular and ad-hoc data
analytics, reporting and business reviews as well as the preparation of key
presentations and special projects as required. Responsibilities also
include overseeing/implementing loss mitigation policy, especially around
data needed for those policites,to reduce potential loan losses. Provides
directive management of both servicers and vendors enabling effective
credit loss management. Full use and application of standard principles,
theories, concepts, and techniques.Provides resolutions to an assortment of
problems. Works under normal supervision. Follows established directions.
Work is reviewed for accuracy of technical analysis and overall adequacy.
Primarily intra-organizational with occasional inter-organizational and
external customer contacts on routine matters. College Degree or equivalent
experience; work towards advanced studies/degree preferred.
Skill level: Senior (7+ yrs)
Basic requirements: - Detailed-oriented, possess previous default
servicing and data reporting experience/ exposure
- Analytical with an accounting background
- Understanding of data structures, warehousing /
storage, file transfers, XML, MS Access, SAS (strongly required), project
management, dashboarding and report writing
experience
Preferred: - Working knowledge of SAS, SAS macros,
Unix-Hummingbird Exceed
- 5+ years of advanced level SAS programming
experience
- Experience converting SAS Macors to stored
processes
- Proficiency with data step, proc sql, proc report
and other reporting procedures
- Ability to understand business requirement and
build SAS code for data manipulation and reports
