Position : Automation Lead Engineer

Location : San Francisco , CA

Duration: 6 months



Responsibilities:

•         Collaborate with the core development team to design and
prioritize automation framework features.

•         Work directly with the core team creating, enhancing and
maintaining the platform framework using the latest tools and technology
such as such as NUnit, MS Test, TFS, Team City, VMware, Subversion, Hyper-V,
etc.

•         Create tools and processes to measure automation progress for the
team as a whole, individual teams and individual developers.

•         Manage and mentor automation engineers working with each
development team to identify testing goals and help them reach those goals
through collaborative test creation, documentation and training.

•         Monitor and respond to problems in the test automation system.

•         Work with members of individual teams to diagnose and resolve
automation test failures.

Required Skills/Experience:

•         Prior experience with automated tests and test frameworks.

•         6+ years of software development and/or QA automation experience.

•         Strong knowledge and experience in object oriented design
(especially with .Net), database, and web programming.

•         Ability to establish credibility with development and business
groups quickly.

•         Demonstrate excellent communication and relationship skills.

•         Be a natural leader and collaborate well with the rest of the core
team.

Work independently and in conjunction with a team of senior system and
application development engineers.

•         Meet ambitious and aggressive plans with creative and innovative
solutions.

•         Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.



Desired Skills:

•         Prior consulting experience.

•         Knowledge of the state of the art in incremental builds, test
frameworks, build frameworks and continuous testing

•         Prior development experience of build, development, automation or
release infrastructure

•         Experience with agile development methodology.



A leading candidate would have experience in the following solution domains:

•         Enterprise Content Management (taxonomy, classification,
normalization, workflow, versioning, etc).
