*Title : Cognos 8 Developer Location :** Pittsburgh, PA* *Duration : 12+ Months Rate : Market * Brief Description Of Assignment: The candidate will work with other Decision Support team members to provide Cognos 8.4 support for the corporation. Candidate will: analyze, design, develop, and enhance reports, dashboards, and Power Cubes that support several corporate data warehouses and reporting systems. work directly with internal customers to gather requirements. create and maintain Cognos Power Cubes using Transformer and Cognos 8. create and maintain data models using Cognos Framework manager. There is also an opportunity to support an expanding OBIEE reporting implementation for ERP and internal corporate customers. Personal Skills Required: Candidate should be willing to work closely with other developers. The successful applicant will have both exceptional data analysis skills and communication skills. The candidate will be working independently to determine the users needs and provide the best possible solution. The individual should be highly motivated, have strong organizational skills, initiative, and be able to handle multiple priorities. Technical Skills Required: Practical hands-on experience using Cognos 8 BI technologies to solve business problems is a must as candidate will be designing, upgrading, and implementing new reports, cubes, dashboards, scorecards, and packages. Position demands solid Cognos 8 development experience. Successful candidate must be proficient in advanced report design using Report Studio and Analysis Studio. Some prior experience using Impromptu, the PowerPlay client, and Transformer.
