defining and implementing software quality assurance policies, practices,
and procedures.  This position is responsible for leading all QA efforts
related to one or more IT software projects, in coordination with the other
QA leads and relevant project teams.  The lead QA engineer will be
responsible for management and implementation of the QA strategy as defined
by the executive team. All QA related activities for relevant projects will
be managed by the lead QA engineer. RESPONSIBILITIES Major responsibilities
of the position are listed below.  Other duties, assignments and specific
projects may be assigned at the discretion of management. Reasonable

perform the essential functions.In coordination with the leadership and
project teams (both on shore and off shore), this position is responsible
for planning and execution of all QA activities specific to PIM
implementation project.  These activities include project planning and
scheduling, creation and execution of test cases, managing product test
coverage, defect management and providing maintenance support activity
relevant to products they release to production.Staffing and training of
any QA resources needed to support relevant projects. As needed, the lead
QA engineer will be responsible for training augment QA staff and business
SME’s who have been tasked with testing support on QA best practices and
provide ongoing mentorship and guidance.Orchestrate resources and tasks
leveraging an on-shore / offshore model. Acquire, implement, and manage the
standards for QA department artifacts.  These include testing and system
evaluation traceable to business requirements, effective defect reporting,
managing defect reporting systems, capture and regular reporting of
metrics, test planning, test cases, test case management and utilization
and maintenance of QA test tools.  Maintain a high level of situational
awareness regarding all activities relevant to meeting project schedules,
production system service levels, and providing regular status updates to
management and relevant stakeholders.    Ensures QA environment(s)
availability and functional parity/equivalence with the production system
environment.Identify, propose, and implement appropriate software QA and
SDLC best practices appropriate for the business and development model.
Provide leadership in process improvement and process maturity initiatives.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or
Mathematics.5+ years of experience in software quality assurance and/or
software development.Must have QA experience working on enterprise level
systems such as PIM, ERP and Supply Chain systems. (Heiler, Riversand or
Microsoft Dynamics a plus)Must have QA experience working on ecommerce web
and mobile platforms. (ATG experience a plus)Must have experience leading
QA efforts of complex systems with multiple integration points. Preferably
in a QA manager or project lead role leveraging both on shore and off shore
resources. Must have solid communications skills and be comfortable working
directly with executive leadership and leading meetings as needed. Must
have experience with quality assurance methodologies including but not
limited to functional testing, regression testing, integration testing,
automation/performance testing.Must have experience with Microsoft Office
tools (Powerpoint, MS Project, Visio, etc).Must have experience creating
detailed test plans/test cases for complex integration projects that
include in depth coverage of all positive and negative scenarios. Prefer to
have experience with staffing QA resources.Prefer to have experience with
Agile/Scrum methodologies and best practices.SKILLS AND ABILITIES To
perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to execute each
essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are
representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.  Experience
with industry leading bug and test case management systems (Quickbase, HP
Quality Center, SpiraTest, etc.). Excellent leadership, prioritization and
organizational skills. Excellent team building, resource planning, and
resource management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication
skills with the ability to communicate with all staff levels in the company
and with clients. Ability to identify complex problems and effectively
document and communicate them to the engineering team. Ability to represent
the company in a professional and positive manner and promote company
values. Familiarity with one or more GUI-based automation tools a plus:
Selenium, Jmeter, QTP, LoadRunner, Silk, etc. *
