Position :Java Developer Location: Pittsburgh Pa Duration: 6+months Job Description Normally requires a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. 7-10 years of experience in the design, development and deployment of enterprise web applications using Java, J2EE, Struts, utilizes technologies such as JSP, XML, and JDBC. Working knowledge of HTML and Web Services is preferred. Formal experience in understanding and application of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is required. Experience preparing accurate technical work estimates and technical design documentation is essential. Candidate must be highly proficient in J2EE and XML. Experience with following is preferred: Struts, WebSphere, IRAD, MQ Series, and Ant, web services, SiteMinder, Castor or JAXB Required Skills Typically requires a Bachelors Degree in Business (or related) / Information Science or relevant experience. Minimum of seven to ten years professional experience in information systems on web based Java applications. The incumbent must be highly organized with excellent strong, analytical, problem solving, presentation, and decision making skills. Must also demonstrate strong communication skills and be able to interface with all levels of business and technology partners. The successful candidate will independently solve complex technical problems. Will be involved in problem resolution (for 24x7 web applications) and will provide off-hour support. Rotational pager support may be required. The candidate will understand the business requirements, determine system design considerations, document technical design, prepare work estimates, and perform software development activities. The candidate must be a team player with a positive attitude, who works well with all levels of technology, team members, and business management.
