*Job Title : VB Scripting with back end SQL querying Location : Houston,TX Duration : 6 Months Contract Start Date :ASAP* *Max Rate : $40/Hr* It will require coordinating with developers and application support people to research issues, do routine maintenance, do back end SQL querying, VB Scripting, and basic reports. This position will also interact with the business users, provide documentation assistance for both IT and the business. MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: *At least 3 years of the following is mandatory: Strong VB Scripting experience Strong experience with backend querying of SQL. Experience supporting BOTH Business Users and Application Developers. Creating clearly written technical, user, and system documentation* ** MUST have ability to multi-task; Will be required to support various efforts simultaneously. Good team player with Excellent communication skills (oral and written) Possess strong problem solving skills and customer service attitude. Must be very pro-active and good at prioritizing time in following up with managers, peers, and customers on support issues. It is critical that this person be a motivated self-starter that is able to work independently and in teams on tasks and projects with limited supervision Familiarity with basic business technologies such as programming, databases, etc. DESIRED BUT NOT MANDATORY: Any PL-SQL Scripting or Development experience would make person ideal candidate. Any Java experience is a plus Familiarity, as shown on the resume, with the Sarbanes Oxley control environment and change control processes. Electric Energy industry background preferred but not required.
