*Location: Times Square, NY* *Duration: 6 Months with Possible Extension* Rate Cap: $50-55 per Hour All Inclusive Primary Skills: .Net/C#, unit and functional testing, understanding of Server Side/Back End Applications, automated testing, SQL Server 2000 or 2005 * * **Manager will be conducting half hour phone screens first then in person interviews if the candidate qualifies* * * *Product Description:* Reuters Messaging Compliance Manager (RMCM) is one-stop-shop compliance solution for Reuters Messaging (RM). RMCM helps financial companies meet regulatory demands and contain risk with a single, flexible, Reuters-hosted service. Customers using RMCM are able to: § Log all communications conducted via Reuters Messaging (RM), including instant messages (with other RM users, public IM users, and RM federated users), screenshots, forms and chat rooms § Conduct keyword and phrase scannining to minimize business and legal risks, and satisfy both industry and company compliance standards. § Monitor your users' usage via a secure web-based console and generate real-time reports * * *Main responsibilities:* § *Quality Assurance Engineer* is responsible for the testing of properly engineered information systems, containing software as the major component, to meet agreed business needs. The candidate will work on, but not limited to, the Thomson Reuters Messaging Compliance product. § Works on medium and large complex projects that are enterprise wide and require the highest level of expertise and multiple technical disciplines. § Work involves working with onshore developers and offshore Quality Assurance team § Contribute key technical expertise, potentially global, which may have a direct material impact on Reuters reputation, and products. § Working with on-shore and off-shore development, test and operations staff § Accountable for a team's results, or for a project, and takes responsibility for the quality of work delivered. Sets timeframes and schedules to meet customer and business needs. § Providing design recommendations, developing automated testing programs per written specifications. Responsible for writing moderate to complex test cases § Translating business and technical requirements into automated test cases for application code and modules. § Preparing and presenting status updates for various projects. § Developing automated testing software application modules using disciplined software development processes. § Provides assistance in researching new and emerging technologies. Works with vendors to understand technology, evaluating new tools, technologies and platforms to be included § Ensuring project process is followed (assignment objectives, post assignment performance reviews, etc.) § Identifies ways to improve the operation of own area and to achieve efficiencies and results. § Provides technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to Quality Assurance teams. * * *Qualifications: * § *Minimum of 6 years development and or Quality Assurance experience*.
