The ideal person for this position is someone that has *worked within the Cable industry that has a good understand of Ad Sale and Trafficing.* This position requires that the consultant also understand the *various types of Business Intelligence reporting (preferrably Microsoft BI) as well as Ad Sales systems and Research Resources like Neilson/Arbitron* This position will require an in person interview after a technical screening. *Job Title: Business Analyst (Reporting / BI) Location: Midtown, NYC Job Type: Contract Duration: Long Term* *F2F* Description: · Sr. Business Analyst role focusing on reporting requirements for Sales & Traffic system. · He/She will be responsible for defining reporting strategy for and will also be responsible for in-depth and detailed reporting requirement analysis, documentation, development, testing and implementation of the solution. · Having BI experience will be a plus. Major Activity: · Business Analysis o Gathers business requirements through interviews, workshops and/or existing systems documentation or procedures. o Provides analysis of business requirements, processes and workflows with suggestions for improvement. Identifies areas where technology, development of new systems or enhancements to existing systems and/or integration solutions can lead to increased efficiency and productivity. o Understands the functions and processes provided by the current systems. Understand and accommodate the requirement constraints imposed by the current systems. o Provides detailed analysis resulting in clear, concise and unambiguous system requirements. Documents detailed use cases that cover all alternate and exception flows. Supplements use cases with real world scenarios. o Provides mock-ups of user interface. Leads design discussions and identifies design options. o Develops test schedules, reviews testing plans, tracks and documents the development and results of these plans. o Provides user documentation for the system. Creates curriculum and provide classes for user training. o Ensures requirements are understood, agreed to and signed off at the appropriate early stages in a project · Application Support o Work closely with development IT team in providing application support for current systems. o Provide solutions to ensure that repeat defects, break fixes are minimized. o Focus on analysis of issues and provide recommendation for avoiding common defects · Project Management o Ensure that programs, initiatives & projects are delivered on-time. Manage risks appropriately & plan proactive mitigation o Regular status reporting, including but not limited to project & support status, to IT leadership and business stakeholders. o Alerts manager to potential risks and issues of importance.
