SharePoint Architect (Public Trust or Secret Clearance) !! MUST BE EAD-GC, GC or USC !!
Position: SharePoint Architect Location: Herndon, VA Duration: 7 Months Contract *Public Trust or Secret Clearance Required* *!! MUST BE EAD-GC, GC or USC !!* SharePoint Architect: Migration/Planning acivities for moving a SharePoint 2010 site or sites to SharePoint 2016. This is a team lead/architect role on a project supporting a DHS component to move a large SharePoint 2010 intranet site to SharePoint 2016. Specific Duties: • Participate in project planning activities including requirements gathering, requirements analysis, resource planning, and infrastructure planning. • Develop a solution strategy for the project using a deep understanding of SharePoint 2016. • Provide technical detail for SDLC, privacy, and security documentation. • Liaise with engineers and system architects. • Formulate persuasive technical positions that will help move the project over bureaucratic hurdles. • Coordinate the daily work of a small group of developers. • Create flowcharts, wire diagrams, and slides to convey technical information to technical and non-technical audiences. • Demonstrate prototypes and concepts for technical and non-technical audiences. • Some coding and SharePoint configuration may be necessary. • Candidate must be located in the Washington, DC area. Skills and Abilities: • In depth knowledge and understanding of SharePoint 2010/2013/2016 features and best practices. • Experience planning and building enterprise level SharePoint solutions. • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. • Experience working with Agile and waterfall project management practices. • Familiarity with federal SDLC, privacy, accessibility, and security practices. • Understand and follow Section 508 standards as applied by DHS.
