*Location: San Jose CA* *Client is looking for a consultant who is into administration and development.* *Experience working on both front end and back end. * *Help the development team .* *Consultant has to more in admin side. * · This senior engineer should be comfortable and informed of the Hadoop ecosystem with 5 years’ experience in Big Data, minimum. · Their past work should provide them with expertise in data management. · Their work will mandate a skilled to expert grade knowledge in Java, Spark [Java & Scala (+ Python preferred)], Unix, BASH, SQL, Sqoop, Streaming, Hive, NoSQL, (+ Spring Preferred). · Knowledge in extending Hadoop framework components is preferred. · Experience in managing data (format/structure) and performance is preferred. · Good understanding of Teradata architecture & experience in Teradata Administrative utilities & DSA. · Experience with Teradata Viewpoint 15 & TD 14.10/15 · 5+ years of experience in System Performance tuning, TASM Settings and capacity planning · 5+ years of experience in SQL tuning and performance optimization techniques including but not limited to Indexing strategies · 7+ years of Teradata experience working as a Platform/Performance DBA · Ability to understand and generate reports from DBQL/resusage · Good understanding of Teradata Database System Control settings(DBS Control) · Experience in shell scripting using korn shell/perl scripting.
