*Roles & Responsibilities*

·         Must be familiar with F5 load balance and certificate appliances
as it relates to highly available Exchange architecture and Outlook Web
Access for 2013.

·         Using SCOM 2012 to monitor Exchange health and performance is a
plus.

·         Need to have the expertise on the mailbox migrations

·         Assist with the installation, configuration and maintenance of
Email servers and applications to facilitate electronic communication
practices and email interchange in accordance with University and industry
user policies and regulations.

·         Develop maintenance schedules and procedures, monitoring system
performance, activity and identifying email abuse using a wide range of
software diagnostic tools and techniques, collecting performance statistics
and creating reports.

·         Distribute and manage email addresses, subscription lists and
unsubscription options on the network.

·         Manage Email authentication methodologies and secure messaging

Technologies for all types of messaging to ensure the protection and
integrity of messaging content.

·         Assist with the design and management of the DNS server to ensure
accuracy and accountability for outbound and inbound messaging and domain
name record identification.

·         Implement security and anti-spam techniques and procedures and
monitor and minimize system abuse and respond to complaints where necessary.

·         Monitor Delivery Status Notification (DSN) and SMTP session logs
to diagnose delivery errors, error codes and messaging disruption issues.

·         Develop and maintain collaborative interfaces to the email
system, especially PDA connectivity and diary scheduling.

·         Manage and maintain consistency with IP addresses and ranges and
corresponding domain names in accordance with corporate policy restrictions.

·         Track system accountability metrics using standard tools and
identify conflicts with SMTP infrastructure and network policy protocols.

·         Implement backup and recovery procedures in collaboration with
other systems administrators.

·         Work closely and collaboratively with other team members, systems
and database administrators and those who provide end user support to
integrate technologies with appropriate systems and applications across the
University.

·         Contribute to project plans for the implementation of upgrades and

Developments to systems and services.

·         Provide guidance and advice to colleagues with server
maintenance, application use and programming.

·         Contribute to the monitoring and maintenance of the services
provided by the systems team.

·         Recommend improvements and contribute to the implementation of
agreed changes, architecture and design structures, tools and maintenance
routines.

·         Plan and prioritize own workload to meet service or project
requirements and personal objectives.

·         Investigate and coordinate the resolution of potential and actual
service problems identified by the systems team or escalated through the
incident management process to ensure agreed service levels are met.
