*Job Title : CDLE IT Infrastructure SAN Storage Consultant Location : Colorado Duration : 2Months+ Contract * Need 3 references Conduct an assessment of the adequacy of the CDLE IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, SANs, etc. based on both current and anticipated future needs, and addressing the monitoring of data traffic and performance, and server utilization Perform an analysis of the current infrastructure environments (development, testing, and production) and evaluate the following: Capacity (storage, operating, processing capacity) Utilization (storage, operating, processing capacity) Scalability Compatibility Maintenance practices Monitoring and alerts Disaster recovery Business continuity Targets for performance and availability WSUS and OS patches Access controls and access monitoring Meet with business line leaders to assess current and future IT infrastructure needs and assess current performance against current needs and ability of infrastructure to support anticipated future needsAssess the current organizational structure of the infrastructure support team and recommend new or clarified team member roles and responsibilities as appropriate Assess adequacy of infrastructure support for business continuity and disaster recovery Provide appropriate benchmarks and best practices for IT infrastructure operations, including those addressing the analysis evaluation factors listed above (capacity, utilization, etc.) Provide a final report with specific, implementable recommendations on how IMO can close the gap between its current state and the identified benchmarks and best practices Weekly status updates to the CDLE IT Director and OIT's Chief Technical Officer, Infrastructure Analysis of the current IT infrastructure with a focus on the infrastructure's ability to satisfy current and future program needs, to be delivered within three (3) to four (4) weeks of start of the project Benchmark and best practice data concerning IT infrastructure operations, to be delivered after completion of the analysis noted above and prior to completion of the project. An exact date will be mutually agreed by the CDLE IT Director and Contractor. Assessment of current roles and responsibilities for the IMO infrastructure team, and recommended alternatives if appropriate, to be delivered at the completion of the project Final report with specific, implementable recommendations based on the gap between the current state assessment of IMO and established and accepted industry benchmarks and best practices, to be delivered at the completion of the project The Contractor's proposed personnel are required to have the following minimum qualifications, which must be verifiable, and clearly demonstrated on the required resume(s). A minimum of eight (8) years experience in IT management/ consulting, with a focus on complex IT infrastructure Demonstrated experience of three (3) examples of performing IT infrastructure assessments, conducted within the last five (5) years. "Demonstrated experience" shall include reference contact information for each example. Examples, at a minimum, must include a contact name, company name, current phone number, and current e-mail address. CDLE reserves the right to contact any and all references to verify experience and successful outcomes of those engagements. Preference: CDLE prefers Contractor's proposed personnel have the following qualifications: Current Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification or an equivalent Microsoft issued certification.
