Description:
Need a solid Java/Tibco developer. Java will be all server side
development, solid multi-threading, candidate must have recent solid
experience also working with Tibco(Business Works). Must come from finance
and just have a general understanding of finance markets and products, the
preferred knowledge would be trading systems, credit risk, market risk, or
reg reporting(don’t need all) Should have exposure to the DB end as well,
SQL Server preferred, but will work with others.
If you can find a purely Tibco BW person we would consider that, but they
should have Java.
*Main Function*
Trade and Transaction Reporting (TTR) IT provides technology solutions to
meet the firm’s regulatory reporting obligations for its derivative
businesses. The group reports both listed and OTC derivative products to
global regulatory bodies, including the CFTC, SEC, FSA, JFSA and regulators
in India, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore, with special focus on the
derivatives reporting required under the Dodd-Frank act.
TTR IT maintains a team of business analysts, developers, testers and
program management staff based in London, New York, Singapore and Pune.
This position is for a Java developer to analyze, design and implement
components in Java, Tibco Business Works and SQL Server.
*Main Duties*
- · Work closely with technical leads and developers to design and
implement Java and Tibco Business Works solutions.
- · Design, develop and test high-performing components using Java,
Tibco Business Works and SQL Server
- · Troubleshoot performance and functional problems on development,
testing and production environments.
*Person Requirements*
- · Expert Java developer with 7+ years experience in a financial
environment including multi-threading and Unix/Linux shell scripting.
Strong knowledge of XML schemas, documents and XML processing required.
- · Strong design skills and experience working with high-volume data
sets and high-throughput messaging and batch systems.
- · 3+ years experience using an integration platform (such as Business
Works, Informatica etc).
- · General understanding of the finance markets and financial products.
- · 2+ years experience working with trading/front office systems;
Credit Risk; Market Risk or Regulatory Reporting systems.
- · Good knowledge of one relational database server, preferably SQL
Server. Able to implement tables, views, stored procedures and write SQL
statements.
- · Excellent understanding of the full SDLC lifecycle including both
waterfall and iterative methodologies.
