*Android Application Developer Job Description*
We are seeking a diverse Android application developer who is capable of working on a suite of mobile platforms. Based out of New York City, we are a rapidly growing mobile application company that is looking for good talent interested in working with cutting edge technologies in New York City. Mobile is an emerging business sector and our candidates should share the same passion that we do. The ideal candidate will have strong programming and analytical capabilities with no fear of a platform. We are looking for someone that wants to grow both their technical skills and forge new paths with their careers. RESPONSIBILITIES: · Involved with all aspects of the software development lifecycle: Design, Documentation, Implementation, Delivery, etc. · Analysis and programming of mobile applications · Debugging and enhancements of existing applications · Participation in code reviews and code analysis wrap ups · Implementation and fundamental understanding of business rules REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent education/experience. Master’s Degree a plus. · 7-8 years of software development experience, 3 in Android Application Development · Strong object oriented design and analysis skills · Experience with source control (SVN, Git) a plus. · Excellent written and verbal skills · Java/C#/C++ or another object oriented programming language · Past experience with web technologies such as: o REST/XML/SOAP Web Services o JSON o HTML5 o ASP.NET o WPF · AdobeAir/ActionScript/Flash · Relational Database experience is a must (MySQL, Oracle, SQLServer) COMPLEXITY: Utilizes sound decision making skills and communicates well with other team members and business users. Identifies problems and recommends solutions. Performance will be measured by his/her ability to deliver quality applications on time.
