If you have a matching profile, please send me the updated resume along with contact details at the earliest. *Job Title* Java Developer *Project Location* Plano, TX *Duration* (6-24)+ months /Contract *Skills Required and Job Description:* *MOI: Telephone + Face to Face* *Need Locals Only.* *Job Description:* • Designs and maintains in-house created applications, makes enhancements and code fixes. • Designs logical and physical data bases and coordinates data base development as part of a project team, applying knowledge of data base design standards and data base management systems. • Develops data models describing data elements and how they are used. • Has experience with extremely high volume distributed databases and is skilled at optimizing data storage for rapid response both writing data and querying stored data. • Expected to contribute to the design of products, write functional and design specifications, contribute creatively to product content and design reviews and be involved in ongoing process improvements. • Complete software features and other assigned project deliverables with a high level of quality, using best practices and techniques and in line with project schedules. • Participate in requirements drill-down and scope definition; ownership and responsibility for evolution of core product components. • Specification, implementation and verification of projects. *Skills:* • Core Java expert level skills (necessary) • Java EE enterprise application development (necessary) • Javascript/JSP/Servlets/JSTL (necessary) • Struts 1 (necessary) • EJB 3.0 (necessary) • JPA/JDBC API (necessary) • MySQL (expert level necessary, if not expert level skill in any other RDBMS like oracle) • Solaris/Linux (intermediate level skills necessary) • Detailed knowledge of application design and programming methodologies. *Candidate Profile:* • Computer Science or Engineering Degree. • 3 – 5 years’ experience in software programming and database design. • Experience in telecommunications sector preferred. • Strong software and Internet technology skills with knowledge of database systems and significant programming experience in Java. • Explicit understanding of software engineering methodologies. • Experience with designing and delivering applications. • Strong communications and inter-personal skills. • Strong time management skills.
