*Title: .Net Architect Location: Harrisburg , PA Duration: 6 months Start Date: ASAP Hourly rate : DOE JOB REQUIREMENTS:* General Skills • Preferably experience in a large financial or Integrated Eligibility and/or Health and Human Services arena. • Candidates must have at least 3-4 years of end-to-end software development experience in the capacity of a Senior or Lead Developer for a large complex system or a hands-on Technical Lead. • Meticulous in documenting technical specifications. • Performing root-cause analysis around complex issues. • Pro-active in communicating with stakeholders and peers. • Need to have excellent team player skills and an ability to build eminence with developers and project leads in the capacity of a strong resource that can get things done. • Should be able to work with minimal hand-holding while assigned to a task by coordinating with relevant people independently. • Must have strong verbal and written skills to communicate risks, issues and coordination items to manager, peers and external teams. • Deadline oriented and enthusiastic to meet project and client objectives. • Must have a strong desire to improve architecture and keep up with best practices for incorporating innovation in technology and apply problem solving skills. • Must have the ability to dig deep into functional context as required to gain good understanding of the overall problem and demonstrate ability to provide different solution options along with their pros/cons. Application: • Strong understanding of ASP.NET <http://asp.net/> technologies. • Strong understanding of security protocols used for enterprise web applications which are mostly in .NET, along with concepts such as coarse grained and fine grained access. • Strong understanding of object oriented design and experience with design driven development using standard UML diagrams. • Strong understanding of windows forms and smart client libraries and their integration with web services. • Demonstrated experience with using Visual Studio Team Foundation for build and deploy solutions. • Experience with .NET COM+ Interoperability. • Experience with Microsoft Enterprise Library components. • Experience with FxCop. • Experience with interfacing with load testing products such as HP Mercury LoadRunner. • Experience with building test applications to emulate load/stress for performance testing of services. Middleware: • Deep familiarity with SOA solutions utilizing WebMethods and/or BizTalk. • Experience with MSMQ or similar message queuing products • Experience with implementing WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) based solutions. Database: • Experience in RDMS database design of tables, views, triggers and utilization of indexes. • Strong understanding of PL/SQL, SQL Scripting, Stored Procedures • Strong understanding of concepts of requirements testing around batch. • Preferably strong understanding of relational database architectures. Specifically, strong understanding of Oracle 10g/11g and SQL Server 2005/2008 databases. Responsibilities: • Perform deep dives and code reviews with various development teams. • Support development teams by developing proof of concepts to demonstrate feasibility or best practice for implementing complex solutions. • Provide guidance to teams by utilizing various memory profiling and code instrumentation tools to help product support team with problem solving of complex issues. • Ability to follow-up across teams to meet architecture objectives and have effective communication with track leads. • Provide design, development and configuration support for framework changes that is utilized across all projects. • Provide design support for service design and configuration. • Provide deployment architecture and script review support. • Certifications: • Microsoft Certified Solution Developer • Microsoft Certified Application Developer • Microsoft Certified Professional Developer • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist Applications: • Good understanding of windows managed instrumentation. • Experience in using instrumentation products such as BMC Appsite. • Experience with building SSRS reports or adhoc reports for things such as technical metrics, proactively scanning instrumentation logs for potential production issues.
