Kindly respond to this requirement with your *consultant resume, contact and current location* info to *speed up the interview process. * *Title* *Production Control Analyst* *Job Description* Knowledge and Skill Requirements: • Demonstrated ability to identify issues, analyze various situations, and recommend appropriate action. • Demonstrated ability to develop and document procedures and guidelines. • Demonstrated ability to convert user requests into production solutions. • Thorough knowledge of data processing terminology, concepts, practices, and procedures. • General knowledge of MVS and UNIX operating systems, including subsystem components. • General knowledge of JCL coding, programming skills, and PC literacy. • General knowledge of scheduling automation techniques and system performance tools and techniques. • General knowledge of the use of automation products. • Acquires and effectively demonstrates any additional knowledge and skill requirements as requested. Expectations: • Maintains and consistently demonstrates a general knowledge of company guidelines, processes, practices and procedures. • Develops guidelines and procedures, in conjunction with applications staff, for Operation’s staff to run production and test work. • Develops change management procedures ensuring that quality and testing are a integral part of the operating environment. • Maintains the production scheduling systems and the production JCL libraries. • Participates on project teams to ensure the migration of development/test systems to production status. • Participates on departmental and cross team projects, performing technical and design analysis as required. • Performs project work with other departments and teams. • Effectively utilizes automation tools to optimize production. • Conducts operator training on new processes. • Works with various departments to resolve production issues. Provides expertise to users and technical staff. • Maintains current technical knowledge with daily training on applications, hardware and operating systems. • Constructively contributes in team and department meetings and training opportunities. • Performs other work as required or requested as well as additional assignments. * Sybase and SQL. CA7 or AutoSYS would be a huge plus.
