Experience with C++ development is mandatory. Job Title: Java Application Developer Location: Dallas, TX Duration: 18 Months Contract * * *Responsibilities:* One of our client is looking for Application Developer Seeking a dynamic Application Developer to assist with system design and development activities for the company. The job will entail analysis and understanding of the requirements and proposing technical solutions. In addition this person will design and create technical solutions utilizing in-house software and standards, development and writing code to support technical solutions that follows the company’s coding standards and approved software. This position will also be responsible for unit and integration testing, test cases that exercise the code that was developed to meet the business requirement. *Job Responsibilities:* · 7-10 years of overall application development experience · 3 years of Java development experience in a WebSphere environment with JSP, Servlet, JDBC, RAD, and J2EE architecture · 3 years of C++ development experience in a Solaris UNIX environment using Roguewave libraries · 2-3 years experience with SQLJ, JIB X and Java Debugging · 1-2 years of Spring Framework and Hibernate experience. · 1-2 years of Shell (ksh, Perl, bash, etc) programming experience. · Experience with Waterfall, Agile development methodology and SDLC · Ability to work with DBAs to change database table structures to accommodate business requirement changes. DB2 experience is preferred either on mainframe or UNIX/SOLARIS. · In depth knowledge of futures and options business is also highly desirable. · Knowledge of collateral processing and corporate actions, also a plus. · Prior experience with IBM mainframe ZOS and CICS is also desired. · This is a Contractor Position targeted for an 18 Month term. * * *Additional Information:* · This person will need to have experience with Java, J2EE, Spring and Hibernate – Mandatory Experience · This person also needs to have experience with C++ and UNIX (ideally Sun), C++ Compiler and Roguewave Libraries. · During the first 3-4 months this person will be doing 60-70% C++, UNIX and 30-40% Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate. · After that, the role would switch and this person will be doing 60-70% Java etc and then 30-40% C++, UNIX. · 50% new development 50% Maintenance. · Person will also be doing Requirements Gathering, Design, Implementation.
