Job Title: Interactive Visualization Designer
Location: NY Duration: 5 Months Rate: $45/hr Interactive Visualization Designer position: Ideal candidate will be focused on designing user interfaces that turn complex financial data into easy-to-understand interactive visualizations. The designer will be responsible for producing simple charts all the way up to full-scale interactive applications (ie Google Maps). The interactive visualization designer will work with business analysts, product manager and other designers to identify areas of our web application that would benefit from rich, interactive visualizations. After the need for visualization has been identified, the designer will present concepts (sketches, prototypes, etc) to wider team for feedback, collaboration and further iterations. Once the work has been finalized, the designer will supply all assets in production-ready form to our front-end developers -- hand-off will include specifications, artwork, prototypes, etc. Designer will continue to work closely with the front-end developer to ensure that work complies with the team's original intent. - Bachelors Degree - 3-7 Years experience in Web design with a focus on charting and advanced data visualization/rich internet applications - Must have a portfolio for review – include portfolio link in the Notes. - Expert Flash and Illustrator skills - Proficient in HTML/CSS/Javascript - Background in financial and/or social networking - Experience working with product and business analysts (determine how requirements translate to artifacts) - Experience working with developers (providing specs, prototypes, working artifacts) - Actionscript experience is a huge plus Thanks & Regards *Kristina* *I.T.
