* <kiran.ved...@erpminds.com>*Duration: 6 + Moths Location: Seattle, WA Summary Description: The primary responsibility of this position is the development of reports and modification of existing reports written primarily in Java, in a multi-threaded UNIX environment. This position requires a good working knowledge of relational databases, and data collection processes. Developer will typically program in Java, Oracle SQL, and XML to create the queries and modules necessary to interface with the database to satisfy reporting requirements. Position responsibilities will include the development and maintenance of meaningful, accurate, and thoroughly tested reports for production or special use, using batch, standardized, and graphical reporting methodologies. Unit testing must be followed with full integration testing and Quality Assurance testing support and bug fixes. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Perform data analysis based on specification provided by System Engineering and assist in creating or create a data mapping document. Build reports using Jasper and iReports. Write and optimize SQL queries for the reports and operational measurements. Build an integration environment where reports can be tested at high volume. Verify that each coding path is unit tested and bug free. Verify that reports meet functional specifications. Participate in full integration testing. Rapidly address issues and fix defects discovered during formal QA testing. Candidate Qualifications: Education: Bachelors Degree (preferably in Computer Science or similar discipline) from a four-year college or equivalent experience. Knowledge & Skills: Quality orientation with a strong eye for detail. Structured approach towards development of processes and procedures. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong analytical skills. Experience: Bachelors Degree (preferably in Computer Science or similar discipline) from a four-year college or equivalent experience. Minimum 2 years programming experience developing software using Java. Minimum 1 year of programming experience with Jasper Reports and XML. Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in writing Shell Scripts Minimum 2 years programming experience in writing complex SQL queries using Oracle. Strong data analysis skills a must. Proficiency in a UNIX or LINUX environment. Experience deploying and configuring applications on Solaris platforms. Strong ability to communicate and document (white board, Visio diagram, design documents, release notes, etc.) the architecture, design, and test strategy of your products. ClearCase experience preferred. Cross-browser development and issues resolution between IE and Firefox. Successful experience working with an agile-style software development team working in parallel with QA and specifications teams. Motivated self-starter who likes working as part of a productive, supportive, fast-paced team.
