i have downloaded 8i personal (zip file) but when i run setup.exe or autorun.exe nothing happed. and there is no error message. where is the problem ? what i can do to setup 8i personal in windows NT or 2000? thanks M.khairy

You may well have a Pentium 4 processor. This is a well documented problem with 8i and Pentium 4 processors (that you may well have). If so, search on your system for files called "symcjit.dll" which is the Symantec Just In Time compiler, then rename them to "symcjit.old" and then run
