Hi all,
Can any of you suggest the configuration for a safe, fault proof, and minimum downtime Database environment? (In terms of how many servers, RAID or disk ARRAY or any combination. A minimum configuration is what I am looking for).

We are working with oracle 8.1.6 on wintel
machines.
We had the same problem and we solved it using advance
replication - synchronous.
We have scripts ready that drop the replication on each
computer if one become unavailable.
