We also reinstalled the OS going from 10.20 to 11 but
that was more cause of the 32-bit to 64-bit. There
is a 64-bit 10.20 and I am not sure if the same requirement
is there. But you are right I believe about it being
a library issue. Its not just Oracle though that will

IMHO if you're running 64-bit O/S you should go to the 64-bit
database. You'll want to be there for 9i and upwards, so
just go there now.
