I wanted a long time to use OID for name resolution instead of tnsnames. Well, today I had my wish. Deborah, from Oracle Israel, told me a little secret.
You have to define the oracle context under cn=something and not in the root. Once we did it name resolution using OID worked. Next step: Replication and failover. Will keep you all posted.
