10 years ago or so, I wrote a 105 line script for the UNIX sed (a.k.a. stream editor) command to convert Teradata BTEQ scripts into Oracle SQL*Plus. Painful, yet thrilling, and it took only about a day of concentration with the OReilly Awk
Steve Perry from this list produced a perl script to read a import file (rows=n) and
produce formatted DDL.
Whilst it is not perfect (as Steve agrees) it does give a good basis of where to start
with processing and transforming a text input stream into a text output stream whilst
