Hi Gurus
Some times one of instance is shutdown.When I checked alert log found
following error message.
Mon Jun 18 09:04:21 2001
Restarting dead background process EMN0
EMN0 started with pid=15
Mon Jun 18 09:04:24 2001
The similar kind of problem I faced when I shutdown the database by shutdown

It's a harmless, but misleading error message.
The EMN0 process (new in 8i) is the Event Monitor
process used by AQ (see note 105067.1 "What is the
EMN0 process?" for more details).
I believe it's not started unless AQ_TM_PROCESSES > 0.

Could it be that your OEM is starting the event monitor process.
Just guessing
