Use DBA studio.
Under storage you can see the redo log groups and their status.
You can add and delete as you like, no problems.

if you get a particular error when you try to drop the log (don't remember

Check for the one that is not the current one.
Select * from V$log;
ALTER DATABASE DROP LOGFILE '/u01/oradata/orcl/redo01.log';
delete the file manually
ALTER DATABASE ADD LOGFILE '/u01/oradata/orcl/redo01.log' size 30M;
Change your size to your desire one.
