For the Oracle database to -run- the OracleServiceTEST (created with the oradim80 command below) must be running, so I infer that you're missing the OracleStartTEST service. You can try: oradim80 -edit -sid SID -intpwd PASSWORD -startmode AUTO -pfile PATH/initSID.ora and that might create it, o

In order to automatically start Oracle on NT, OracleServiceSID and OracleStartSID must be started. They should be set to AUTOMATIC in control panel, on NT.Now my case is that both those services are not available or created. Now I read that I have to create those services. e.g. oradim80 -delete -s
