Yeah,
I created my Solaris Intel CDs at the weekend but it won't help me with 9i
unfortunately 'cos the download's only for Sparc architecture.
Maybe I'll need to spend cash. =(

Most Windows-based Oracle access is usually some sort of front-end access to
the database, which usually resides on a UNIX-based server.
Even Microsoft uses UNIX based databases behind the scenes :-)
