in your oracle_home
dir /s/p/od
it will sort by date which file is the newest.

I had that same problem with it. I ended up getting it to work OK when I
navigated into the directory structure that the zip file creates (or on CD,
whichever you're running it from) into patch_base\install\win32\setup.exe

From reading the instructions with 8.1.7.2.1 I had the impression that you had to move to 8.1.7.1.1 first and then 8.1.7.2 ? In any case, I had previously installed the Oracle Universal Installer that came with 8.1.7.0.0, and so
