Don't do #1 or #5. Make sure you don't restore redo logs in #2. Step #4 - Startup Mount Step #6 - recover database until time

This reminds me of something I always wanted to try to work out. It seems like you should be able to rebuild part of a db, so that the recovery of a certain tables data would be faster. That way you don't spend the time reading all the datafiles for all the TS you don't need to recover. Cou
