John. Our current problem has been narrowed down to two possabile troubles. 1 is the PERC controller card. The sysadmin missed the message that the battery needed to be reconditioned a week or so ago. They reconditioned the battery and the errror messages stopped and the connect time improved some

Lindon, We have had a controller card go intermittently hay-wire and corrupted the database. It even caused corruption to read-only tablespaces. It is quite possible to corrupt Oracle read-only files with an os or hardware problem. A good backup procedure was the saving grace for that one. Curre
