*Job Title : Senior Network Operations Specialist * *Location: New York - NY, Glendale/Burbank - CA or Seattle, WA * *Duration: Long Term* *After telephonic F2F must, expenses would be paid for nonlocals.* *Description:* We are looking to fill *3 positions of Sr. Network Operations Specialist* for one of our *Fortune 500* clients that can be hosted in *New York - NY, Glendale/Burbank - CA or Seattle, WA. HUGE FLAEXIBILITY IN TERMS OF LOCATION for these roles.* Team: Network Operations team holds accountability for the availability and stability of the network services within the enterprise. This includes Data Center networks, Wide Area and Metro Area networks, wireless, end-user LANs, firewalls, WAN acceleration, application load-balancing and a wide array of supporting technologies. You: The Sr. Network Engineer will ensure that team is developing the most appropriate *plans for incident recovery, network changes*, *and adherence to configuration standards*. The Sr. Network Engineer need to apply his or her *deep technical expertise in routing and switching (especially in the Cisco Nexus platform), load-balancing, firewalls and/or wireless* to consult with Engineering to understand the engineering standards, and interpret this into specific tactical plans to manage our outsourced services suppliers in the appropriate technical directions. *Basic Qualifications (Must Haves):* • 10+ years of experience in technology related fields, with *at least 5 years of experience in operationally focused positions.* • 7-10 years of supporting enterprise level, mission critical systems in either a large IT shared services organization or telecom service provider environment. • *Expert level knowledge and understanding of MPLS, Wireless & Controller, Ethernet, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, Cisco HW and SW (IOS/CATOS/NX-OS), WAN Acceleration technologies, Fire Walls, IPS, Load Balancer, Security protocols (IPSEC/TLS/EAP), TRILL, OTV, QoS and IP Multicast.* • Expert level knowledge of TCP/IP version 4 & 6 and other network services required to run a complex corporate network. • Familiarity with the capabilities and problems of a broad spectrum of hardware and transmission technologies *(e.g., cabling, optical fiber, WAN and transport, routing, firewalls, LAN/VLANs switches, SDN, etc.)* • Ability to understand fairly complex network infrastructure quickly during major incidents and provide technical leadership appropriately • Exceptional communication skills are a must.
