Oracle DBALocation = Philadelphia , PA ( Local or Near BY )Duration = 9 month + contract* *Interview = Face TO Face * The Oracle Database Administrator is primarily concerned with managing Oracle relational database management system running on the UNIX- AIX platforms in a 24 x 7 environment. This person's efforts will include: maintenance of the database instances through the use of automated tasks and routine monitoring of server resources; implementation of database backups on regular intervals; and resolution of support calls, as generated on a periodic basis. Oracle Database Administration contractor will work in coordination with each other, as well as other departmental resources, to best meet the overall database administration needs. *Responsibilities:* Must be a to work effectively with other DBAs, System Administrators and Application Teams. Able to follow through on commitments and proactively communicate if deadlines cannot be met. Escalate issues if they are not able to solve a problem or others are not providing the required Monitor and maintain interface. Work cohesively with other DBA’s as a team and be a team player. Maintain operation support documentation Report status in a timely and accurate manner to their supervisor and manager. Qualifications: *Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field is required *Provide 24 x 7 x 365 support through on-call rotation. Pager duty will be required. Must have 3 years of hands on experience in Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) preferably 11gR2. Must have 3 years of hands on experience in installation, configuration, and support of Oracle Data Guard using data guard broker, fast start failover and observer. Proficiency in troubleshooting, performance tuning and SQL optimization. Knowledge of data migration, data archiving and data access techniques.
