The developers will be a part of team responsible for learning and implementing the tools necessary to complete the project. The Precision Medicine Initiative (PMI) Cohort Program will enroll one million volunteers into a national Biobank that broadly reflects the diversity of the U.S. population and helps accelerate progress toward a new era of precision medicine on a larger scale than previously possible. The proposed Biobank will be a valuable resource of biological specimens and related health information from human volunteers that can then be used to address a wide range of scientific questions to improve public health. To accomplish this goal and accommodate these national volumes, there are several system enhancements and integrations to support the new instruments and automations that will be. The responsibilities will fall under the scope of the project discussed and detailed below: 1. LabVantage (RLIMS) integration with new instruments: Volume Check, Trinean, AVS Vision Mate, Hamilton Bios (4), Hamilton Star (19), Autogen Flexstar (10), Motoman Sorter, Hamilton Scanner (2), and Hamilton XL Sorter (3). 2. LabVantage enhancements needed for efficiency and PMI specific needs. 3. Interfaces with the organization providing the PMI Coordinating Center. 4. Interface FedEx with LabVantage for automated shipping processes. 5. Enhanced SOFT and LabVantage integration for PMI samples. 6. Additional work will be needed to improve the load balancing capabilities for the instruments. 7. Possible hardware upgrades for the RLIMS servers for the additional volumes.
