*Duration::: 6+ months* Client is seeking an experienced DevOps Consultant who will be responsible for building and maintaining the software delivery pipeline for the Aristo application (i.e. automation of the build, test, release, deploy, and monitoring activities). • The Aristo application manages activity, billing, and distribution. • Aristo is in the process of being converted from a legacy mainframe platform to Java with Oracle as the database. • The ideal candidate will have experience in the design, development, and support of software delivery pipelines for Java applications. • Experience with Linux (RedHat or CentOS) administration is required, and familiarity with the following tools (or similar tools) is highly desireable: gradle, maven, puppet, ansible, spacewalk, rpm, nagios, NewRelic, sumologic, graphite, jenkins, junit, git, nginx, jetty. • The candidate will be expected to be very hands-on as he/she will be designing, developing, and debugging code to automate the build, test, and deployment of the Aristo application as an integral part of a cross-functional team. • Experience building and/or architecting a modern Java application from scratch would be a major plus. Responsibilities: • Develop new and maintain existing parts of the delivery pipeline for the Aristo (Java-based) application using relevant tools and frameworks mentioned above. • Train and/or coach non-DevOps developers as they learn DevOps from you. • Introduce and leverage new technologies. • Assure consistent design and development standards. • Work within a team environment to nurture critical thinking skills. • Ability to manage several simultaneous assignments. • Ability to work within an Agile software development practice. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
