Job description is below. *Must have experience with XML and Testing in Unix and experience or an understanding of Batch Testing.* *Position Summary:* • Has extensive knowledge of and credibility in client business processes which is applied in analyzing test requirements, developing testing materials, executing tests, analyzing results and logging / tracking defects. • The successful candidate will work closely with quality assurance leads, application development team, other SMEs to ensure application functions according to the requirements and established guidelines. • Can function and work well with others in a tight deadline and competing priorities. Well-organized, with attention to detail, and self-motivated. • Works under general supervision; typically reports to a manager. *Essential Functions and Responsibilities:* • Must have good understanding of quality assurance methodologies and software development life cycle. Will have a good knowledge of business processes, analyzes test requirements, develops testing materials, executes tests, analyzes results and logs / tracks defects. • Develops all test materials including developing, publishing, and implementing test plans, test cases and all required test data. Uses Functional and Technical Design documentation to identify testing criteria Understands and defines all scenarios and test cases to satisfy each functional requirement for the application being tested. Documents, updates and organizes all testing materials according to defined procedures. Conduct system, functional, integration and regression testing • Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts by working closely with the development team to ensure that all defects are brought to resolution prior to deployment. • Writes and maintains test automation using QTP and other open source tools • Performance test applications using Load Runner and other related tools • May act as a QA project lead on projects of relatively middle to low size or complexity. • Scope and Change Management - Assists in managing technical priorities and change management processes. Responsibilities include understanding and documentation of change order testing impacts, and assessing the QA hours in facilitation of change order process. • Possess excellent communication skills- Communicates project milestones and deadlines to project teams, IT management team and project stakeholders. Is capable of communicating with business and technical personnel. • May require non-standard work hours for staging and production verification testing to conform to release cycles. *Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:* • Minimum 2 years of experience in system analysis and testing • Minimum 2 years experience with testing methodologies, test plans and test case creation, and the defect reporting process • Should posses good understanding of Relational Databases • Minimum 2 years of experience in using Oracle 9i.x and up. Must be proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, • Minimum 1 year of experience in using UNIX, and/or Solaris environments. • Minimum 2 years of experience in using Quality Center 9.2 or up • Minimum 1 year of experience in using QTP 11 and Load Runner 11 or Jmeter • Minimum 1 year of experience with SOAP UI / XML Spy or similar tools • Prefer knowledge of VB scripting, .NET, Perl Scripting, XML, HTML, Java, and Java Script • Prefer knowledge of SVN or other version and source control tool • Prefer knowledge of Online vulnerability scanning using IBM AppScan or similar tool • Prefer knowledge of Cognos, Informatica and Google Analytics • Comfortable multi-tasking on many projects at a time and work efficiently to complete them. • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Strong team bubuilding skills • Education: Bachelors preferably in computer science or technical discipline (physics, electrical engineering, etc.) • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
